Bridges

A restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth. The bridge consists of two or more crowns upon which are attached artificial teeth, called pontics. Bridges can be placed on natural teeth or on artificial roots (dental implants). They are made of gold, ceramic or a combination of metal and porcelain. Bridges are also called fixed partial dentures.
